During early 2008 we worked towards achieving an ISO class 3 with the support of SPLOST Funds. Our inspection was
conducted June 17th 2008. Manchester Fire Department underwent
the ISO Public Protection Classification (PPC) survey in June 2008 and the outcome of this analysis resulted in our remaining
the classification as a Class 4 community. The Fire Department improved our point
value by 5.61 points; however the Water Department lost 3.77 points. This
factor further reduced our total score by .90 points in divergence (balancing score reduction).
By category the Fire Department
rated a Class 3, Receiving & Handling Fire Alarms rated a Class 2 and the Water Department rated a Class 5. We will continue to strive to achieve the ISO 3 rating with the help of faithful citizens and public officials.
Manchester Fire Department received
